As have many others since seeing Colin Prior's book, Highland Wilderness, I've been interested in making panoramas. Not being able to afford a film-based panoramic camera, I had to wait until the advent of digital photography to let me create stitched images with adequate quality. Over time I've used a variety of software to make these, Panorama Maker (old but good), Realviz Stitcher 3 (even older and not so good), Microsoft ICE (very fast and good too), Hugin (can be excellent), Photoshop Elements 10 & 11 (both versions good) and more recently Affinity Photo (also producing very good results though without the control that, say, ICE or Hugin offer).
